- I live in Calgary, Alberta CANADA...home of the NHL's Flames and the WHL's Hitmen. I love watching hockey. My favorite player is Alexander Ovechkin, followed closely by Nicklas Bäckström. Then there's my goalies Henrik Lundqvist, and Carey Price. I also like watching the dynamic duo of Toews and Kane. I like watching the Caps, Rangers, Habs, Hawks, and Canucks. But I'll watch anyone play anyone, at any time. I love the game that much. In my limited spare time, I am learning Swedish. I've actually been taking lessons since the NHL lockout in 2004. So, it stands to reason that I pay extra close attention to Swedish players/prospects. Pretty much the only time I'm not thinking hockey is when I'm sleeping, or when I'm at my boxing club.

A Swedish Moment
I was watching the Vancouver Canucks at New York Rangers game the other night. My roommate/brother is a die-hard Canucks fan, and I love Henrik Lundqvist. No money was on the line, as I do not bet on my favorite players/teams. I always pay extra attention to Swedes, and picked up on this right away. I thought this was priceless.
The Rangers ended up winning this game 1 - 0 on Henke's 6th shutout of the season, which ties him for 3rd all time for the Rangers with 30.

Ovi n Sidney Crosby in Vanity Fair
So, Johnny Depp is on the cover of the January 2011 issue of Vanity Fair. Buried in the pages of the magazine is an amazing black and white photo of my boy Alex Ovechkin and Canadian Golden Boy Sidney Crosby. I wondered if they were actually together, and here is the evidence I was looking for.
